GREENISLAND

Greenisland Flower Arrangement Society celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2025 and currently has approximately 36 members.

We meet at Oakfield Community Centre in Carrickfergus at 7.30pm on the third Thursday of each month from September to May, excluding December.

​

Our new programme begins every September with a floral demonstration, followed throughout the year by a varied selection of practical workshops, demonstrations and enjoyable social evenings centred around flowers. Monthly club competitions also provide members with an excellent opportunity to learn from one another, share ideas and develop their floral design skills.

Every other November, we host an Open Demonstration at Carrickfergus Town Hall. This popular event helps to raise funds for both the club and our chosen charity.

Our programme also includes a January quiz night, along with creative challenges such as designing a floral headpiece using the same selection of materials provided to each team.

Everyone is welcome to join us, whether you are completely new to flower arranging or looking to refine your floral art skills.
